Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies

Oh yes.

I found this picture at cadryskitchen.com and my cookies looked just like this!
Recently at my house, we made White Chip Chocolate Cookies that you can find the recipe for on the back of a package of NESTLE® TOLL HOUSE® Premier White Morsels. They were yummy.
But-- my husband suggested that they might be pretty amazing if we tried making them again sometime with regular chocolate chips, instead of white...?
He was RIGHT!

Chocolate Chocolate Chip Cookies
Recipe Adapted from Nestle® Toll House

2 1/4 cups flour
2/3 cups cocoa (the really good stuff!)
1 tsp baking soda
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
3/4 cup sugar
2/3 cup packed brown sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 eggs
1 (12 ounce) package of really good chocolate chips (I like Costco's semisweet)

Combine flour, cocoa, baking soda and salt in a small bowl and set aside.
In a larger mixing bowl, beat butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla extract until creamy. Add the eggs.
Gradually add in the flour mixture. Don't forget the chocolate chips!
Spoon onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 9 to 11 minutes or until centers are set. Let sit on the pan for a minute then cool on wire racks completely.
Makes about 3 dozen cookies.

Are you the type who likes them all melty, fresh out of the oven? I actually prefer these cooled. The chocolate is smooth and just perfect for this choco-holic!
