Is Your Salt Real?

About a year ago I walked into my favorite grocery store and there was this big old slab of rock sitting on a table. Not the usual fare for a grocery display.  The rock caught my attention with it's creamy white and sometimes almost pink streaks. It was a good looking rock. Upon closer inspection I discovered it was actually a big chunk of salt rock. And they were giving free samples. I'm always a sucker for free samples so I picked up a few little packets along with the brochure describing this salt. When I got home I read the brochure and was fascinated by the facts they presented. Then I read this:

Take a taste test!
First taste Real Salt,
then try any other salt – the difference will amaze you!

So I did,
and it did amaze me.
And now Real Salt is the only salt I will buy. And not just for the taste...

"Real Salt means – well, real, authentic salt. A quick glance at the ingredients label on most salts might surprise you! Many salts contain anti-caking agents and even dextrose (sugar). Others have been heat processed and stripped of their natural trace minerals. Real Salt brand, on the other hand, is unrefined and full of natural minerals and flavor – the way salt was meant to be savored.

Real Salt's unique coloring comes from more than 60 trace minerals, which also lend an amazing flavor that has helped Real Salt become the best-selling brand of sea salt in health food stores. Real Salt is best tasting, healthiest sea salt you can find."

It's what I stock in my Pantry.
